find some of my post, depending on the species, fry care is differant. I have 10 week olds and 8 week olds. They are a lot of work. Tanks must be cleaned everyday, brine shrimp must be hatched everyday, there are heavy losses and it is heart breaking.
My 10 week olds started at about 150. I have 8
my 8 week olds started at about 200 and I have about 20 with about half that prob will not make it another week.

Hi,
Came down a couple of days after my mother's funeral to find my seahorses had babies.
I ran and got a 2 gallon tank filled it with water from the seahorse tank so quality would be the same.
Ran and bought baby frozen brine shrimp for fry
NONE survived. What I want is this time to be prepared and don't know how a seahorse fry tank should be set up???
I READ AND READ AND READ.... yet I can't find decent information.
To top it off yesterday found one of my seahorses dead. Water tests show all is good so no clue what happened. The other 3 as of this morning seem to be fine.
SO do I need airline tube or airstone for a small 2 to 5 gallon tank? So that on one website.
A filter or no filter?
How do I keep a small tank with nothing in it running properly so it stays good quality for the next batch of babies?
IF possible please email me directly as with the loss of my Mom I have not been able to come to the forum much
Appreciate any and all advice
Lisa
