Baby snails

How many of you get frequent reinforcements of baby snails. Every now and again, I have 10-20 little clear eggs on my glass. Within a few weeks they disappear and within a week or so I have 30-40 new baby snails in my tank. This happens 2-3 times a year in each tank. I usually let them grow to about the size of a small grape and sell them to my lfs.

Yes, we just gave birth to a hatchery of conchs at our house :D Mom conch set a hatchery up on the front glass of my aquarium. She was very diligent about keeping close to the little hatcheries too. About 4 wks later [over the weekend] the babies dug a single hole thru their bubble like encasing where the eggs are kept and out they all came! Be careful how you clean your glass. Something that looks like a grain of sand or a water smudge could actually be one of these babies!

Yah, happens to me too. When the lights go out, they come from every rock, crack, and crevice. Theres gotta be thousands of them! The good thing is, I almost never have to clean my glass anymore! :D
