today they are 9 days old. They are getting quite bit. The biggest is about 3/4 on an inch to an inch. I have started growning out bbs a couple of days and enriching them. I just hope I am enriching them enough. I think I will start adding some Cyclopeeze to thier brine soon.
I am still having problems hatching decapped brine but not regular brine eggs. Even the ones I decap my self hatch better then the one I bought already decapped.
I will try for some updated pictures later.
So far I have lost 5 of the orig 80.

Wow - sounds like you're doing a great job if they are that big already! THe few of mine who made it to 9 days weren't that big, but then again maybe that's why they only made it 9 days.

Congrats - and of course, pictures!

Holy Mackeral - they look fantastic! How bad has the workload been so far? Taking up lots of time and energy? Have you started regretting this venture yet? (wink)

Super job Theresa!! They are cute. They're noses are a little big, but other than that...
One of these days, I'm gonna learn a little about seahorses. They are another hobby in and of themself!!
Super cute and well worth the effort! Keep us posted!

actually it's not been that bad. yes it takes time, but the most problems I am having is figuring out how to grow out the bbs and get them enriched.
here is my schedule.
mornings, check hatcheries, drain new shrimp, rinse, feed some to the fry, add the rest to my grow out tank. Add some amiquil to the tank to take care of any ammonia. mid morning, feed some more, mid day feed again, evenings feed again, wait a couple of hrs, then clean the tank bottom and rinse the filters. check the ph and ammonia before water change.
If the bottom is really dirty in the mornings, I also clean it then. I rigged a long thin piece of pipe with an air line attached, makes it really easy to reach the bottom and suck up all the poop.
No regrets at all. I love watching them snick up tiny little shrimp.
