Back from the ER.....

well saturday night after we got back shopping from out of town, i took out my contacts and my left eye became really sensitive, so i ignored it and went to bed thinking it would go away by morning andways and i needed to get up for church early anyways, but the pain didnt ever stop! it proceeded to get worse, much worse so i went down to mom and dad (i am only 16) and told them, and just when i thought the pain couldnt get any worse it did, everything hurt-to keep my eye open, to close it, and especially to blink. so they rushed me to the emerency room at 12am Sunday morning....:nervous:
so by this time on the way to the hospital, i found out although it hurts some, just keep my eye closed....so after some much need ballin out my hurt eyes and a little hypervenolating i kept my eyes shut, finally when it came time to open them in the ER it hurt soooo bad, all i could do i just shake! i mean i have NEVER felt anything like this, i broke my hand 2 months ago, and went two and half days without anything, not cast, no anything and it didnt hurt anything like this! i would have rather broken both my hands! but anywaz i waited for two hours in that stupid emergency room in shear pain, scared to death and very mad that it has taken so long!!!! :mad:
finally when the doctor saw me, he told me i had to walk (blinded) to the big room with all the gadgets (the trauma room) and it was 2 am now and finally he got to work, he numbed my eye, and it felt sooooooo good! all i wanted to do was sleep, cause i had, had a big day of shopping, so i was drifting in and out, so after dying my eye to see the chunk out of my cornea!, many eye drops later, and a really not cool eye patch i could go home!!!!:cheer:
i just took the eye patch off this morning, thats when they said i could take it off, but it was a rought day yesterday, doctors orders: no driving, no reading, no tv, no internet, nothing that could strain my eye, and i wasnt even suppose to go anywhere yesterday but i went to my church evening service to see the choir perform for the last time before they go to jacksonville beach and orlando friday! i am in the choir and he said i coudnt sing, which didnt bother me at all! :) and they said i might not even get to go, i have to wait until tommorow wheni go to the optomotrist and he has to tell me!

so anywaz....... lol after this long story....anyone else done anything like this to their eye?

No, but I definitely jammed a q-tip down my ear answering the phone in a hurry one morning. LOL-you're not alone

It's more like who will admit to things like that or not, everybody's done something like that.

i am not sure at all, i just took it out and my first thought when i took it out was, wow that came out unusally easy, and then after that it started to feel senstive like i have i just put a lot of saline solution in my eye, so it went away like normal, then it started to itch but when i would scratch, it would itch and hurt and mom was like u must have an infection, then it just kept gettin worse until i had to go to ER, but anywaz, it could have been like that all day i suppose, see the night before i slept in my contacts, and i am pretty sure i have the kind that u can sleep in, but i might have made a mistake, so i was just going to leave them in, but i wet them and everything seemed milky so before my shower i took them off, but everything still seemed milky, but that was prob b/c it was so early and i just woke up but i took my shower and i just remember something that my eye started hurting really bad like i had gotten soap or something in it, but worse, so i rubbed and rinsed and it seemed fine, but i didnt feel any soap draining down my face so thats really weird, mabey i ripped the chunk out in the morning and my contact all day was keeping anything from touching it, not making it hurt? well anywaz i am talkin alot again lol but i am not sure how i did it, it looks like i would have felt it ripping outta my eye lol o well:notsure:

Okay, the thought of that creeps me out... so I'm really hoping/praying everything works out for you! Ouch...

well thanx everyone! :cheer: i am going to the doctor in an hour or two, so i am hoping that everything will be safe and sound! thanx a lot!!!!!

I suggest throwing out the set of contact lenses you were using Microman2k. I used to wear contact lenses and I got some wood grain enbedded into the contact without knowing it. I kept using them and my eyes keep getting worse and worse. Basically I scratched my corneas repeatly because of the contacts. Figure it better to waste a pair of contacts even if they are brand new then repeat the injury over and over again. Luckily for me, I don't have that problem anymore. I had LASIK and I love being able to get up and see. It is so much better.

yea i will do that if they bother me again, i just say if they bother me again cause these contacts are way too expensive to throw out, its worth a shot, its $150 a box and with both eyes its $300 total but they last a year, it comes with four pairs, i have to change them every 3 months, so i am gonna give them a try again, when i went to the doctor today they told me about LASIK but i am only 16, u have to be atleast 18 and have a steady eye perscription for atleast two years which will wind up wheni am about 21 and she said that guys eyes change more frequently than girls so it might be longer!:scared: thanx for the advice!!!!:yes:
