Bacter Vital

So what is everyone's opinion on Bacter Vital (Marc Weiss Companies)?
I'm of the thought that additives should not be put in the tank unless absolutely necessary. However, I've heard from a few people that they swear by this stuff and use it weekly.
Anyone use this before? What are your thoughts?

This bacteria is ubiquitous. Why buy bottled air when you can get it for free...inhale.
