I Have a anemone. he is doing fine. his tenticles are nice and fat. but i just noticed today that it has 2 sores in his foot with some "stuffing" coming out. i was told this was a bacterial infection but kris walker was not sure. so my Q is: How do you tell if a anemone has a bacterial infection?

There was someone on here within the past few wks that had what sounds like the same problem. They posted a pic of the anemone too. However, I don't think he got any solutions to the problem. If the anemone actually starts to look as if it is failing health-wise, I would strongly suggest that you already have alternative housing for him up and running. A decaying anemone will release a lot of ammonia into your system and could cause a major crash in short order.
In the meantime, you might want to post the problem over in Reef to see if you get any insights there.

Beth, i tried posting it there(in the reef tank) but they told me to put it on here. My anem is moving ALOT right now. Its gotten bigger(the sore, there is alot more stuffing coming out). I want to know if its a scratch from a rock or a bacterial infection. Im going to look for that post.

sammy, i already told you that my dad got the anem. thats why i posted so fast. and i did get 1 VHO light for my tank. i have to save up more money to get another. my hammar coral is spliting...his teticles. i guess i should have told you that. and my anem was really laying on its side with his tenticles huge. i found out that he was trying to get on the glass.
PS, , did any of you sharks delete my name Mr.Bubble? i tried to get on but it said someone had deleted my profile! I will give pics of the sponge, anem, and everything else on april 22 or 23.
