I've seen people mention glass or rock anenomies in their posts. What are they & why are they bad? I've got a couple in my live rock. Should I whack them? If so, how?

They are very bad, they will multiply like crazy especially if you fool with them. They will also sting you other inverts. Get a peppermint shrimp or two b/c he will eat them. This is the best way to handle the situation for now.

They are also called aptasia anenomes. Type this in a couple of search engines and you should find a ton of pictures.

I have some anemones that are called Rock Anemones. They are not Aptasia. These came out of one of my Carrabean rocks. They grow to approx. 1 - 1 1/2 inches diameter. They stay close to the rock with a short tube body. They have short tenticles. They are a kind of olive green with a purpleish color inner disk (area around the mouth). Sometimes I can see sort of a white colored stripes going from the mouth to each tenticles beginning. They can deliver quite a sting to some corals. My huge open brain was killed by these. Thet don't cause probs to mushrooms or star polyps. They do multiply if broken while being scraped off rocks. Also a super saturated solution of kalkwasser injected into them dosen't kill them like Aptasia. Any suggestions on these would be helpful.
Thanks
