bad idea?

My light will be coming Monday, i ordered a Coralife AquaLight 1x96w for my 10 gal. I know that these lights get hot so what i want to do is just get one of those fans that comes on a stand. Then just aim it at the light/top of the tank to help keep it cool. Does this sound like it would be okay to do? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

A fan is a good idea. If you have the same light as I do, there are optional legs for it to keep it up off of the water. Mine doesn't even get the glass top hot on my refugium.

Yeah i ordered the mounting legs as well. Hopefully it wont heat up the tank too much. Thanks.

The legs are a pain to set up, but they do the trick. Nice light too. Good Luck,
