Bad to eat blue leg hermit crabs?

I just moved my Porcupine Puffer into a new tank.
It had been cycling now for 2 months, and as a small cleaning crew.
Mostly large turbo snails and a few Ast. snails (no shrimps, or clams).
My question is, I also have about 1 dozen small blue leg hermit crabs, will the puffer try and eat them?
I don't want him to get sick or chock on one or anything (just a paranoid father).
I don't care if he ate them, I just don't want to put him in any danger.
Any opinions, please advise......

hermits should be fine, small snails are a great treat though....
shrimps...crabs without shells are in trouble.
