BakPak questions

I may upgrade my skimmer to a CPR BakPak (original model, and used). Would it be worth it for me to change from a RedSea Prizm to a BakPak? My Prizm doenst seem to pull much from the tank and when it does, its all watery.
Also, does anybody know what has been changed between the BakPak and BakPak2?
Thanks!

I have had a bak pak on a 20g. and have a prizm on my parents 75g. and they are both equally crappy. The skimmate looks the same in both (thats when you get any). The differance between the bak pak 2 and 2r is that the bak pak 2 has a bio bale to help with biological filteration.

Haha ok thanks. :)
So maybe I should save the $50. and stick with my "equally crappy" Prizm.
Anybody care to give the bakpak a defense? Heh.

I too was looking to buy a bakpak for my 20 gal. Right now I have to put a huge berlin airlift 90 in after lights out a few times a week which is a pain. Looking for a good hang on model, any suguestions?

People seem to be posting a lot about AquaC Remora skimmers and how much they love them. I might end up looking into that instead.

I have a nice Turboflotor Multi SL for sale down in the "Classified" forum
Definetly a step up from these "entry level" skimmers...:D
