Ballast went out on 8 gal oceanic

Has someone got a how to on building a simple light to run over this aquarium?
Yes Salt
Yes for Corals
Yes Cheap
Yes if you can get it at Home Depot
No I am not an electrician but I have been electrocuted before and I liked it
All kidding aside I do have some knowledge of wiring just not a lot
I follow instructions real good

Well for around 60.00 and I am just wondering if for that much investment if someone has a DIY that may produce better than what I have. You have to understand I like DIY projects. I dont just want to reach in my purse and buy stuff. LOL
