Can you get 2 brownbanded bamboo sharks in a 400 gallon tank and are they an active or lazy shark? Thanks anyone!

Tell us about your set up. How old is it? How much LR and LS do you have? What are the dimensions of the tank? What are your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, KH, SG, and temp readings?

they are more active at night.
if you want a active shark, you will need a 2000 gal system and up. Actually 2000 still will probably be to small

This is not necessarily true. While they are bottom dwellers and in the wild they are mostly nocturnal, in your tank they will become more active during the general feeding times. You can expect them to be very active for at least a couple hours before and after feeding.
As far as your other question; whether 2 will work in a 400, you will probably hear several opinions on this. As long as the dimensions are a minimum of 8' x 3' (which I'm sure they are) then I'd say it's fine. Just be careful with the aquascaping... enough to make caves but also enough swimming room.

As long as the foot print is large you could do it but i would mix it up and do a smaller cat shark. Bambo's have been know to fight when cramped and you might run in to a tank size issue once they hit maturity.

Hmmm - A couple of Brown Banded Bamboos in a 400 gallon tank.
Likely Not for their entire life span.
How long you could keep them both in the tank would depend on the tanks dimensions. At 8' long x 3' wide - you maybe able to keep them in there for about 5 years if you get them as small pups.
For 2 adult Brown Banded Bamboos - you really need at least a 480 gallon tank with at least 85-90% open swimming room, IMO .
