Why buy either if you dont know anything about them? :notsure:
Yellow Heads (i.e. Fimbriated) will not just kill fish...they'll kill other Morays too.

not buying them, getting them for free from the same tank my snowflake came from, they were all living happily till I gave the guy a huma huma and now the eels are getting beat up so Im giving them a home. I have had both species before but for short periods of time just. I know there behavior just wondering how big they got. Im pretty sure there a both under 3 ft eels. Thanks for the link, he was on there.

The Zebra Moray Eel is an eyecatching and extremely docile species that derives its name from the bold pattern of bars on its body.
The Zebra Moray Eel is an ideal moray for the community fish tank. It poses no threat to its fish tank mates or the aquarist, and is often out and about during the day rather than at night. A 125 gallon or larger aquarium must be provided with crevices for hiding that are large enough to conceal the eel's entire body.
The Zebra Moray Eel diet should include sizeable portions of meaty foods, fresh fish including clams, squid, scallops, and shrimp.
Minimum Tank Size: 125 gallons
Care Level: Difficult
Tank Conditions: 72-78°F; sg 1.020-1.025; pH 8.1-8.4; dKH 8-12
Max. Size In Aquarium: Up to 4' 9"
Color Form: Black and White
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef Compatible: With Caution
Diet: Carnivore
Compatibility: View Chart
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Family: Muraenidae

nope i was talking about the banded moray. I got him he is in my 40 gallon till i get up my 65. He is to small and would get eatin in my bigger tank. He seems to be very happy in there with my reef. I just hope he doesnt snack down my shrimp or crab.

I have a banded moray eel. :jumping: It is very docile. I love it!!
I use a feeding stick to feed it krill, silversides and marine cuisine. It is about 15-18 inches long. Here's a picture...its name is Mealie Eel. It lives right now with a snowflake eel (they get along fine, with the exception of a few scuffles during feeding time), a maroon clown, a jumbo damsel, a domino damsel, a 3-stripe damsel, a carpet anemone, 2 yellow tangs and a niger trigger. Currently, we are in the process of moving and this livestock will be moved into different tanks. This picture was taken last summer so it is a little bigger now.

Here's a link to a video of Mealie Eel:
