My local fish store told me banded sharks are ok with copper treatment. Is this true??? i thought all sharks are not good with copper. What happens if sharks were treated with copper?? Can someone please let me know????

I had a manager that dosed a system I worked on with copper. There were several banded cat sharks in this system and they were in sad shape during this period. It didn't kill them, but they definitely were not active and did not eat.
yeah, LFS said bottom dwelling sharks are ok with copper. Does anyone know why sharks are not compatible with copper?? what's so different with standard fish?
