I have 1 Banggai and I would like to have one more. Would it be ok at add one or be better to add 2? Should I just leave him alone? I have no idea of the gender. I will post a picture, in a while, so if u can tell, maybe you can pass that information along.

i want a pair of banggais....
do you know what gender yours is?
sexing could be easy if you know someone with a male.... put it in a tank with the male. if they fight like hell, they are the same ---.
your best bet, if you want a pair, is to buy a few, and see which ones pair up, then return the others to the LFS if they will allow that. But if you want to garentee to keep your own fish, then it owuld be trouble.
some people claim they can tell bangaiis appart without watching their behavior. The jaw of the male is more square for carrying eggs, but this usualy only happens once he has reached sexual maturity. also, the male will have a longer dorsal fin. But fins are often nipped off, or scratched off, and are not always at their full hieght.

No, I do not know the gender. I don't really want to buy a few fish and have to take them back. My fish store is really not that close to me so I don't think that is a good plan in my case. I like mine and want to keep him.
Here are some pictures

I love cardinals. Mines about 5 years old. I never even thought of pairing them. If you figure out a good method let me know. Good luck.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to --- Banggai that have not already bred.
My guess for your Banggai is a female. It's just a guess though. Two males will not get along. One or both will die when they fight. Two females sometimes get along but not always.
If you like your Bangger I'd suggest keeping it single. If you want to try to pair it then the trial & error way is the only sure way to pair them.
