Just got a Bangaii, hasn't been touching flake... Should I try live brine? If so can you keep brine, and how do you do it? Or should I try frozen brine first?
I bought 2 on jan 1, and they didn't eat for about a week. Now they eat flake, blood worms, formula one and tudefex worms.
One is shy about eating and the other gobbles it down like a pig. I never feed live brine.
I'm sure when they get hungry they will eat.

I had the same problem with mine, he would only touch the brine and a very slow eater so he didnt get much. He slowly whitered away and died. next time around with the cardinals i am going to make sure they eat something besides live before i buy.
you could try live brine and putting frozen foods in at the same time. and eventually they should make the switch. mine doesnt eat pellet or flake at all but will eat brine, clam ,and squid
i also have a bangai cardinal. it did take quite some time for him to get adjusted to the tank. at first he did not eat and shunned flake, but loved frozen plankton. he now is actually a voracious eater and eats anything put in the tank but does prefer frozen plankton. my cardinal is a shy fish but has adjusted well over time. just give yours some time to adjust. i use all frozen foods. i stay away from live because you are at risk for adding parasites to your tank with live food. frozen is a great way to go.
My cardinal would not eat anything but live brine for the longest time.
He now takes frozen bllod worms and frozen squid.
I use a small turkey baster to squirt the live brine into the tank.
