banged up Lion...

My Lionfish pictured below was the victim of a Niger Trigger. Do you guys think the damage to his fins will heal? The Niger is gone, and he is not getting picked on anymore (at least from what I can see). Should I be concerned, or just give them time to heal?
Thanks

Feed him well and give him a peaceful environment.... he should heal. Watch for secondary infections.

sorry to hear about your banged up lion. I wish the people who want to mix lionfish and triggers together could see this. A niger trigger is on the less agressive side, and people want to put clown triggers with lions.

Thanks for your replys. They were together for just a few weeks. This Niger was a little bitch (and I thought they were nice), though. As soon as I put him in the tank, he picked a fight with my ET puffer, but got his butt handed to him on that one. So, I thought that may have put him in his place, and he was quiet for a little bit.
If you look at his right side fin, you can see there are some parts that were bitten off. What would a secondary infection look like?

He was definitely taste tested. Keep him healthy and he can heal.
A secondary infection would be something that doesn't heal and looks generally awful. But all infections doesn't necessarily have to be at the site of damage itself. Infections can crawl into their bloodstreams and give them a "blood infection" or sepsis.
If he starts acting funky or looking funky, record the behaviour to describe it for us and take picture of anything you can that looks "odd".

yes this is the prime reason for not mixing triggers and lions, they will heal considering you give him some nutrient enriched food, this will help alot. thaw it in like garlic and add some vitimin c and stuff:)
