I have never had them but they sure are pretty. My LFS has had them on and off and they find them very hard to keep alive in thes store. They claim that they are skitish fish but I don't know for sure.
BangGuy would know lots about them for sure. I believe?? He breeds them. You might want to send him an email.
I know they do better in groups and that they're definitely a type that you want to hang out in your LFS for a while before you buy.
As Debbie said, they tend to be hit or miss.
They don't like groups once they get mature. If you find one that eats they are pretty hardy. Try to find a tank raised one for better success.
Once they get used to your tank they will be out in the open all day.
I've kept a single one for over 1 1/2 years with no problems. Can be kept in pairs, but not an odd number (3 for example). Definitely a carnivore.
My doesn't swim around much, and has no personality.
