At my LFS they are selling a baracuda about 3-4 inches long! I have never heard of a baracuda in a tank. Any of u ever heard of this. What is surprising is its only like $70, but he is cool looking and isn't afraid of ppl

They actually sell barracudas in a store near me, which drives me nuts since they look small & easy but end up 6 feet long. If you've got a big enough tank, like some people here w/ shark ponds, I presume they're really fun to own.

Barracuda need huge amounts of open water and they swim at incredible speeds. Just doesn't seem fair to the animal to keep it in an aquarium. Some fish are meant to stay in the wild, IMO.

they had them at the new england aquarium and i swear those things could probly swallow me. seeing them swim around in that huge tank makes me think i wouldnt keep them in anything short of a Big pool.

kind of waste to me to have a huge tank and something that is going to devour everything that is defintly a in the wild only species unless your on cribs and have like a 6000 gallon aquarium with a school of them

I have seen one at my LFS about a year back as well, they wanted 10$ for it, wanting 70 is crazy especially considering they are going to be so huge. Its awsome watching them eat live feeder fish.

One of the LFS out here has a barracuda, I think that's one fish that should not be offered to the public.
