I recently started a new reef tank with 30oz of Bio SPIRA and 200lb of tonga branch and choose to not use any substrait. There is a lot of water flow and the poop get pushed into the overflow where it collects in the sump. Has anyone else has any pros or cons with experience of the bare bottom reef tank. I think its great however im looking to hear from others who utilize this technique.
