I believe I have a barnacle on one of my feather dusters. I looked them up but didn't get any info with regards to aquariums. Are they safe? What should I do? Leave it alone, remove it, anyone have a clue.

If it's always submerged I don't thinkit's a barnacle. They have to have some time uncovered. Look at a pier piling sometime. They can never stay total open to the air or totally submerged. At least not from what I've heard.

right now it's stuck to my feather duster. I would sware it is. Of coarse, I am no expert but it looks exactly like one. I will do some more reading today.

So, you are saying they are ok? I don't need to try and remove it? I don't directly feed my feather duster. Will he cause harm to it. (the duster)? If it does survive, will it grow, if so, how big?
