base rock

not really a newb, but I am just now considering adding some base rock. DO I just wash it off and put it in the tank? Ive got around 100 lbs of live rock, and i just want some filler rock to take up space. Any specific kinds? or special insertion instructions? Also I was wondering if wrasses can co exist with urchins?

Generally, I just wash off base rock with a water hose and then wrinse it with RO water. The water hose blasts off all of the dust and particles that you don't want in the tank, and the RO water will neutralize and clean the rock off.
I don't see why wrasses can not coexist with sea urchins? I'm sure someone can tell you a better answer and I'm even unsure because I haven't ever came across that question...

Good thing you are going with base rock concidering the recent import ban on MI and Tonga rock, guess a lot of people will be going base from this point on until things are resolved.
