so i purchased a few pounds of rock for a bargain from someone who had the rock in a fuge.
it was a very very established 55 gallon tank with a 10 gallon fuge packed with rock.
there is nothing to the rock... and it looks homemade and just plain base rock....
will i be able to mix this and a few pieces of actual liv growing rock and soon will it spred to this plain white rock? what do you all think

Is this rock going in a new tank or an established tank?
yes mixing it with live rock will help speed its growth into flourishing live rock. If it is going into an already established tank I might cure the rock for a week or so to ensure there is no die off. It would suck to have your tank go through a mini cycle because of some die off on your newly aquired rock.

thats fine. putting the new lr in a new tank wouldnt be a problem. even though i have put LR into my 29 reef and i didnt get a cycle. but to be sure put it in a new tank. so it can get some color.
