I treating my fish/invert tank for ICK!!!
The petstore mentioned that for an fish/invert tank the only product i could use was KICK-ICK!
I would really appreciate your comments about this product (KICK-ICK)! And whether what the local petstore said was true about KICK-ICK. Is this the ONLY medication for an invert/fish tank??? Help!

Yes, I used it for a while. It will not cure
your fish. It doesn't have that "Kick..."
but my fish stopped dying, and after short time they recovered themselves.
Did you try garlic?
You can use with iverts; leather corals supposed to be the one to suffer (my wasn't effected at all).
At the sign of the smallest spot I pour into my tank 1~2 cups of this staff imediately.
Didn't have a dead fish since.

I just went through a horrible experience. I had gotten a new fish and much to my horror..in came ick with him..I also have inverts so I know your delimea. I have never heard of this Kick-ick. However I have tried Greenex much to no avail. I lost my yellow tang, indian damsel, tomato clown, and royal grama out of the whole deal. I have since been using garlic and let me tell you that saved the rest of my fish! I soak their food in it 45 min. before feeding. I wish you the best of luck in saving your crew!
xxx (now you've been kissed by the fish)

I have used both kick-ick and no-ick and had no luck with either in 3 tries. Greenx works sometimes but it does seem to kill the snails if left in the tank (it did for me and a friend of mine who also used it). By the way no-ick and kick-ick are the same product just put out by 2 different companies that were started after the 2 so called inventors of kick ick split up (according to article I read on those products).

I am just gettiing over a nasty bout with ick myself. I used RX-P along with garlic soaked food. This really seemed to do the trick for me.(i'd use it again if needed) :) It is reef safe, didn't hurt any of my inverts (snails, cleaner shrimp, crabs, mushrooms and green star polyps) at least so far so good. I treated longer than is reccomended on the bottle. Bottle says to treat 13 days or more, i treated for 29 so far, today is my last day. Hopfully ick is gone from my tank. We shall see.

It is to aid in fighting ick. It causes an exess slime coat (thats what Kent Marine told me) but i have also heard that the fish will accually shed a layer of skin do to this med. Again, thats what i've read in other posts on different board. Doesn't really seem to effect my corals or inverts and the fish don't seem stressed at all. HTH
