what are thoughts out there on the BCS voting, should it be the gators playing for the national title. But then again if not them then who, keeping in mind MI, lost their game to the buckeyes two and half weeks ago. hmmmmmm, there should be some good feedback.

Michigans only loss was to the #1 ranked team. Keep in mind that Michigan was on the road and barely lost. Florida has no business being in the National Championship game.

heres the thing, i do feel MI is the better team, but look at what florida has done with the schedule they had, now theres a lot of people who are saying that if there was a play off, it would be mi playing for the title, oops, mi and ohio state are in the same division, they would have to play first, if you loose your conference championship game theres no way you should be playing for the title either. again im not saying that mi is not the better team, but you being a cults fan should know all about, the better team not playing for championships.

You should not play for the National Championship if you do not when your own conference

I feel that MI is the 2nd best team in the nation and I believe that the line when they played Ohio in Ohio was less then it is right now between Ohio and Florida at a neutral site...that says something. However, I am really looking forward to the matchup between MI and SC, IMO that will be the best game of the bowl season.

the BCS is just messed up all together... I do beleive that MI should get a shot on a neutral site... the argument that they already had their shot is valid though... i think FL is gonna get rolled... MI should beat SC... then maybe NCAA Football will pull their heads out and get a play off system goin in the VERY NEAR future!!!

I'd love to see a playoff system!

i doubt it... in a play off system these two teams wouldnt meet until the semis or finals... they need to take the top 10 to 16 teams and play it off!!!

The gators are gonna get smashed. MI is the #2 team in the nation but they didn't win their division so they shouldn't be in the national championship game. I'm just glad SC isn't in it again, MI will beat them.

good call, i would of been mad if sc played for the title after being beat by a team thats not even ranked in the top 25.

I bleed Maize and Blue and do not think UofM should get the re-match. As hard as it is for me to say this, it would not be fair to Ohio State. Man, it hurts every time I say that!!
Having said that, the way the BCS is layed out, there is no way you can convince me Florida should have jump Michigan. It's all about timing. Out of sight out of mind. If Mich/OSU was last week we would have the re-match regardless of what Florida did.
I am more than happy to see the Rose bowl match up we have and agree that it should be a great game.

Being a "real" Florida Gator (having a diploma from UF) and not just one of their obnoxious fans that have never sat foot on campus except for a game, I don't think anyone can say one way or another who was more deserving. Now to say that Florida has no business being in the Championship game is just being a Gator Hater.
They are just as deserving as Michigan. Even the experts agree that Florida has one of the toughest schedules in College Football. I can see both sides and I'm just glad we are in. Now whether we win or not depends on which team shows up to play.
If the defense plays like they did against Auburn and Leak doesn't throw the damn ball to the other team when he gets pressured or screw up the option (which he has been known to do), they have a very good chance of winning.

Agreed ...the road for FL was far tougher than Michigan. They also played one additional game. I doubt you will see a playoff system in the near future due to the bowl impact. The only posibilty would be a two round playoff semi and final with some alternating between the current BCS bowls. Top 4 play first round...then the final...with the rest of the bowls remaining.
Too mnay communities rely on the revenue form the current bowl system. It all comes down to $.

then you also have all these conferences with a great teams here and there, then theres the SEC, that is filled with nothing but great teams, SEC teams knock each other out of championships every season, to win the SEC championship is saying something, then to be in the SEC with a 12-1 record is just amazing. what a difficult task.

The SEC is a good conference but i don't know if i would call them or anyone else the best. They are given a ton of --- appeal from ESPN, more than other conference's. You will never really know who is the best until it gets played out in a playoff. Who can show up every week and play good football, that is what a playoff would prove.

you make a good point, im saying it would suck to wake up and look on your schedule and see it consist of tennessee, LSU, Auburn, georga, arkansas all on the same schedule.

Teams that only play a 12 game schedule and do not have a coinference championship game may want to either add a game or an addtional bye week to their schdule. This way, they either play the same amount of games or play when the conference championship games take place.
If Michigan had to play a conference championship game for #13 and/or had one addtional opponent there is no guarantee they would win.
Folks seem to think they should not have been penalized for only playing 12 games...but the 13th game for FL is what put them in the champioship game in my opinion.
Michigan was a victim of their own circumstance and their own scheduling. They could have scheduled a tough non-conference opponent for a 13th game and perhpas they could have back doored into the championship game on style points depending on the opponent and margin of victory. If you do not play when the conference championship games or played...and/or you decide to schdule one less game....you take your chances of being overshadowed by a team with a 13 game schedule and playing longer into the season.
I am not certain regarding if a team playing in a conference that does not have a championship game after the regular season is played can schedule an addtional game 13. I also am not certain regarding conference guidlies for bye weeks, etc.
Either way......FL earned the right to play in that game as I see it....my opinion.
