Here's what my tank looked like before SWF.com. Tank has UGF, CC, airstone, light that came with hood, no LR, no powerhead, no LS.

still going... looking to improve lighting even more, add some clowns, etc.. more LR..
water is still clearing, this was 2 days after LS replaced my quickrete..

Well.. I'm still adding things. A test kit is next. For now I just do 2 gals a week change, using distilled water. I am not dosing. In a small tank like this what would I dose with? There are a few chems the LFS offers, calcium, ph buffer, etc...
good advice on the LR - small frags.. you mean build them up on top of each other?
Lighting.. for now I have a 50/50 bulb, 15 watts, but have been looking into at least upgrading to a 28 watt system... I don't want to spend too much on this tank. I want to go eventually larger..
I'm wondering if "things" will grow on my LR with better lighting.
I'd like to add some corals or sponges too.. we'l lsee.

Anyone think a common anenome or a carpet anenome would be bad for this tank if I put a pair of clowns in here and rid the damsels?

2 clowns and some LR added... damsels given away.. bye bye damsels... bought my test kit tonight...

Hey Smallfish, good job saving your money. My wife just reminded me of what I've spent in the last 3 months... (this hobby has failed me before)... ouch... not this time..
