Benifits of Moonlights?

I just bought a moon light LCD of the internet because it would look cool in my tank, but are their other denifits to moon lights?

Less nipping of fish at night? Thats what I was told. Better growth of corals because its like "nature"? Not sure if this is right but seems logical

its just for looks and the way the light is makes it so the fish dont know its on so they can sleep

Some people even take it as far as having moon cycles that match nature

If you really think about it, in a natural reef it usually never gets completly dark at night unless heavy cloud cover. Anyone been diving before??? I guess there are pros and cons of having one and not. Some people say its bad because some corals wont close up all the way? I have moon lights and my corals close up? I dont know I just do my best to try to copy what mother nature does the best...
