IMO UV sterilizer don't have a place in the home aquarium especially a Reeftank they kill indiscrimantly so they kill the good with the bad. Most of the things they kill aren't bad for your tank and they aren't 100% effective at killing the bad stuff. I believe they are useful in a QT or if you own a LFS where you have large amounts of stock coming in weekly from questionable sources.

I have used one for years and am pleased with it. You need a flow meter and a valve to adjust your flow. The max flow rate is a joke. You can't use nearly that much flow and it remain effective against free floating protozoa.
The sterilizer will need to be on its own dedicated loop at the last stage of your filter system. I would set your pump to deliver between 150-160 GPH.
