Berlin HO Skimmer

Hi,
Decidded to spen New Years day installing my recently purchased Red Sea Berlin HO skimmer using a mag 5 pump on my 90 FOWLR. Everything went fine until i developed a slow leak around the inlet conection on the bottom of the filter,
There was a sticker on the inlet that said not to over tighten the asembly so i was carful to snug it down so as not to crush the gasket. But when i fired it up it had a slow driping leak, there isn't much i could do to stop it as further tightning only crush's the rubber O ring. Has any one else run into this??

I first wrapped mine with teflon tape, no leaks. While we are on that skimmer subject you really should run atleast a mag 7 on that skimmer to make it work correctly.

Thanks for the information, i ended up sealing the inlet with aquarium silicon seal which did the job. I have it running now seems to work well with the Mag 5,wishing i had went with the 7 instead as the additional cost was minimal. This skimmer makes my Seaclone and CPR skimmers look like toys.I did email REdSEa about my problem they are sending me a new inlet assembly.
