Berlin HOT Skimmer's Stink

I ordered a RedSea Berlin HOT Protein Skimmer about a month ago and ever since I have been trying to get it to work. No foam. Ever. I've tried numerous settings, and nothing ever happens. I'm sending the thing back tomorrow and am going to try another model or brand. It's for a 125 gal, fish only tank. Any suggestions???

Have you tried adjusting the pump flow along with the air mixture?

mr fancy, when i originally set up my berlin h/o, it did not produce any foam either. then, when i finally added salt to the water, THAT'S when i got the foaming process to begin! so silly ! the first day i had the venturi valve wide open and it foamed over and shorted out the power strip underneath the tank <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> ! fortunately, no major flame activity. <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" /> <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" /> please monitor the foam level in the overflow cup until it's broken in and you can anticipate the amount of skimmage that it produces.
