Best Anemone for pur clowns..?

I have 2 pur clowns, and have been waiting for my tank to mature a little bit before I get a Anemone for them. I have read that the best Anemone to get would be a carpet Anemone.. Has anybody had luck with pur clowns hosting an Anemone...? What is my best bet for an Anemone that my Pur clowns will host...?

Carpet anemones are great for any clown!! But just rememeber, anemones love pristine water and strong lighting, so make sure you are ready for that. Best of luck!!!!

Yeah I know that water has to be just about perfect. Thats why I have been waiting. My water has been really good for about 6 months now, and the tank is about 9 months old.. Made sure to get HQI lighting as well. So I think its about time to find me a carpet anemone for my Clowns to move into...

S. helianthus is the smallest, but its a non hosting species from the carribean. It will very likely make a meal out of your clowns if they try to use it as a host.
S. gigantea is the next smallest, (usually max out at about 20-22") but these are one of the most difficult anemones to keep
S.hadoni is one of the easiest carpets but usually go about 24-28". They are proven fish eaters.
S. mertensi is the largest (36" but are rarely collected/imported)
E.quadricolor (AKA BTA) is not a natural host for percula clowns, but IME most percula will accept a BTA as a host. BTAs are one of the easiest (Not super easy, but easiest) anemones to keep and also the easieat to get ahold of. They regularly reproduce in aquaria, and anything that is a tank raised clone will always do better than something that was plucked from the ocean
