what is the best color range for red coraline algaeif you are only useing pc's10,000k or 5,000k or anything in the midle. I do have 2 deep blue 55w pc's& 2 55w supper day 10,000k
Coraline algae absorbs most of the usuable light in the 420 nm spectral range. You can get it from the artificial acitinics - blue - lights in pc units. Although they are not true acitinics they claim to be manufactured to reproduce this spectra of light. I also run two pc bulbs, one blue and one 10k. I have coraline algae everywhere. I did read on the bb one day that there is a new TRUE acitinic pc bulb. If anyone knows about this please post what 'cha know
