Before you buy a D100 or Rebel spec out the Nikon D70. It specs out better on most things than the D100 and I have read reviews picking it over the D100. I belive Nikon will be replacing the D100 soon. D70 is aroung a grand with no lens. If money is no issue the E1 from Olympus is awsome my 1st choice with out getting in the $5000 to $8000 range. Around 2 grand with a lens. I was going to buy a D100 at X-mas and decided to wait. Since X-mas alot of cameras have been release and they are just getting better. I am hoping to pick up the Olympus in a couple of months.

Also check out the new Minolta A2, and Olympus c-8080. If you are not set on an SLR these two are awsome with more features than the average person needs plus both are 8 megapixels. Both can be had around a grand. Check out this site.
