Just got a new sun coral today, although it doesnt look like one to me as the heads are tiny and scattered on a chunk of liverock.
Anyway, the heads are about the size of a pencil no thicker....
So I was wondering what to feed it!! I gave it baby brine shrimp mixed with cyclopeez and squirted it with a baster, but will that be sufficient?
Should it be fed more often because they are so tiny?
It is all opened and "Happy" right now, so it likes its little cave I have it in...
wish I could upload a picture, but I dont know how.

I feed mine mysis shrimp and have had a lot of success. Just make sure its tents capture the food. You'd be suprised how much even a small sun will eat.

any meaty foods that are small enough are great. I would go with mysis, cyclops, dapnia, finely chopped squid, whitefish, haddock, small clam chunks, etc. there really isnt a limit as to what type of food you can feed them as long as it is small enough for the polyps to capture and envelope. I would avoid brine shrimp as brine arent that great nutritionally and sun polyps require a lot of nutrition. you can even drop small food pellets on the polyps in a pinch but I dont like dry foods for corals.
