Best Lighting for a FO tank???

Does it matter what type of lighting you have for a FO tank? What brings out the fish the best I guess? I just got a Fluorescent 10,000K light for my 40 gallon tank. I dont feel the need to spend $$$$$$ for a FO or maybe even a FOWLR tank, but I am curious about the 10,000K or the Actinic, and other bulbs etc...

10k is fine, but some actinics would also be nice. T-5 is the way to go, it has the brighest light, so its great for bringing out the colors in your fish. 2 55s would be perfect for your tank. You could even throw in some softies in there.
