Best Protein Skimmer?

Just curious whats the best protein skimmer for a 30+ gallon tank :happyfish
I heard bak pak 2 but then again my lfs says aqua remora c ? .....any suggestions

Those are both great skimmers. I'd also add the Coralife Super Skimmer to the list.

Go with the AquaC Remora with the pump upgrade (avoid rio pumps).
The CPR is also a good skimmer but IMO the AquaC is slightly better.
I have not worked with the coralife skimmer, and have not heard much about it so I have no opinion on that.

WooHoo!! I've been waiting for this question since I recently aquired a Bak Pak 2 and I already have the AquaC Remora Pro so I can compare side by side. It is my opinion that the Remora is better and lemme tell you why... They both skim about the same as far as quality, they both make about the same amount of noise, they are both small and convenient but I like the Remora better because there is no airline to hafta keep clean or adjust. The Remora is just plug and play and you forget about it. The Bak Pak, I had to get the perfect air to water ratio then when the airline got a little clogged with salt creep, I had to find that "spot" again. The less I hafta deal with something the more I like it. Don't misunderstand, it's not "hard" to mess with the bak pak, it's just less convenient. I will copy this often.
