What is the best protien skimmer for $100. I have a biomatrics that just took a dump. I want one that is going to last a long time and pretty quiet.

I like the prizm, but it's not whisper quiet. It's not bothersome loud either, but you can hear it fizzing.

heard that prizm is suppose to be good, but noisy;unless you request newer impeller
we use the seaclone for the 135 & works fine & is pretty quiet;however, make sure you receive one w/ the shorter inner tube; we got ours from petwarehouse.com for about $70 or so S&H at the time

seaclone. make sure you pick up a cheap air valve. it comes with a screw type valve that is hard to adjust. I picked it up at petsmart.com for $70. ;)

Prizm. I've had mine running about a year(replacing my visi-jet <img src="graemlins//bah.gif" border="0" alt="[bah]" /> ) HUGE difference in proformance! The crap it takes out is unbeleivable. If you have a 55g or smaller i would suggest getting one of these. Best bang for the buck. Not that noisy (just thought i'd chime in on the noise issue) :D
