Maybe going to get a r/o system. Post your suggestions. I don't want an under sink system I would like the other kind. Thanks.

There are many units, each with it's proponents. I have an airwaterice typhoon III, and I love it. Easy to install, effortless to use.

I see a lot of them give descriptions of diffrent outputs of gallons per day. Why would you need 50 gallons a day and so on? I do 5 gallon water changes once a week. I am going to get a 120 gallon sometime soon. What would be good output for me.

A 75 gpd machine makes about 3 gallons/hour. That means that it will take somewhere around 4 hours to make water for one 10% water change in your 120 gallon tank. A tnak that size will need around 1-3 gallons/day to make up for evaporation. You decide how large a unit you want based on how long you want to wait for water. Honestly, for the 5 gallons/week that you are changing now you might consider just buying $2.50 worth of RODI at Walmart each week and saving the $200 or so that a purchased unit would cost. You would probably find that once you got the big tank it would then pay to have your own system.

i love my spectrapure maxcap ro/di 90gpd 5-stage. a 25gpd would do just fine you don't need that much water each day anyways.

Like Aztec says, there are smaller or larger units - you don't need to have a big one necessarily. BTW - it is a good general rule of thumb to avoid units that are rated at 100 gpd - they tend to produce less pure water, and cost more to buy and operate.

i've got a spectrapure that works great, the typhoon is somewhat cheaper. either will work fine.
I would also get a ro/di unit not just a ro unit.
as for gpd, most people get BRUTE garbage cans and have the water drip into it all day. I do this and i turn it off, i'm in the same stage as you. I've got a 24gal and i've got a 75gal coming in two weeks.
