My red sea berlin skimmer finally gave up. Every time I have plugged it back in for several months now it takes several hours before the pump starts working again. Now it won't come on at all. Given the following options, which hang-on the side skimmer is best for my 46 gallon reef? Thanks in advance.
Another Red Sea Prism
Coralife Super Skimmer
CPR aquatics cyclone
Other in the <$150 price range

Octopus DNW 110
Edit... sorry, didn't realize I only had 3 choices... I guess I'd have to choose the Coralife ... but that would be reluctantly... I really don't like any of those choices.
Check out the Octopus. One of the best bangs for the buck, and it should be within your budget.

I just picked up a Octopus NWB-150 for $185 inc s&h. Started pulling crap up within 2 mins. no break in period. I agree with SCSInet on the Octopus. Spend the extra $35 and get one of these. Make sure its the 2009 model though as some sites are still selling the old ones for same price if not more. The Octopus DNW 110 is a little more than the NWB-150 plus you still have to get a supply pump for it or plumb it in from your overflow. If I had the room and the time to replumb my system I would of got that one but the NWB-150 should be just fine for you. DONT SKIMP OUT and get one of the ones you picked. You'll regret it. Those also produce lots of micro bubbles
