Best skimmer for a minibow.

I'm looking into a nano, probably around a 6-7 gallon minibow and I'm wondering what packs the most punch as far as skimmers go that will fit on these little tanks?

Well, nano's don't always have to have a skimmer. But if I was to say you needed one for such a small tank, I would say a CPR Back-pack, or a AquaCRemora. I still don't think you should worry about it. I have had my 10 gallon up for a year now, and have had no need for a skimmer and I do a WC once a month.

Well if you decide you want to do a skimmer ya should check out bigals website they have cheap skimmers that I reckon would do mighty fine in your nano.

The problem is that most HOB skimmers are just as big if not bigger than the back of the tank. I wonder why they don't have a skimmer the size of a note card or something.

Well that would make a nano reef just too easy and take away all the fun! LOL j/k I could be 100% wrong but I think I remember hearing size has something to do with it. I know the air stone skimmers can be small but some of the high pressure air pumps needed for them aren't that cheap from what I remember (this was a couple years back when I was looking for one for my 5g) to the point I'd rather get a bigger one. Also, I'm not sure of the air stone effectiveness. *shrugs* I dunno just a thought.
