Best Way to add Live Sand??

So I am finally ditching my CC for live sand, because I want to upgrade my tank in the future, and I decided I'd better get rid of the coral now before I add anymore rock or inverts. I currently have a 29gal FOWLR, with roughly 20 lbs of rock in there and around 1/2 in of CC at the bottom. What is the best way to add sand after I remove all the CC??

That is how I did it as well.

I changed out my CC a couple of months ago to LS.
I scooped it out alittle at a time. Like over a 2 week period. Then I used a siphon hose to vacuum out the rest of the gunk at the bottom until I saw the glass bottom. Then when my LS arrived I put the sand in slowly, one bag at a time.
I had to move all my rock over to one side and put the sand in, then let it settle. Then move the rock again, then add sand.
You also may want to turn off your powerheads to keep the dust storm down. It will settle after a couple of days.
Good luck, you will love the LS!
