Best way to do a water change

I have a 55 gallon tank with fish only. What is the best was to do a water change? I am currently treating for popeye and read on another thread that a water change could help.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Not sure exactly what your question is, so I hope this helps.
I assuming that you don't have a sand bed so I would mix up some salt water, wait a couple of days, and buy a siphon with a long enough hose that I could clean off the bottom of my tank. If the pH is the same in your mix as with your tank, I'd change 10 gallons or so out.
hope that helps

Put your RO water in a container, I use a 29 gallon tank, Place your heater and power head in the container. Then you can slowly add the salt in front of the power head so that mixing occurs better and quicker. I use a maxi jet powerhead with the air line tubing for aeriation.
Let mix for at least 24 hours ( I prefer 48 hours) while aerating, check salinity, before adding to the main tank check and match the temp and salinity of the main tank and the water change.
syphon out about 15-20 gallons on a 55 or about 30% when treating for popeye. Add your water change water and your done.
