best way to vent canopy?

I have a black oak All Glass canopy on my 150. I'm running some bright lights that really heat up the tank. Before I go with a fan, I'm thinking that venting the top of the canopy (the big door) would be good, but I can't decide the best way to make a really good looking vent. I've looked at HVAC air vent covers/registers/diffusers, cold air return covers, flourescent light grids, etc., but nothing looks as nice as I would like. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Can you show an example of the floor vents you are talking about? I found some but they are too big and cutting them down would not look right. Just curious if you found something different.
