I have to admit... most of the time I go "that's pretty" and move along. But I want that. It's very nice.

Usually these are pretty hard to keep but I think the secret is to feed them lots. They are gorwing so much faster since I started and even 5 new polyps coming out. You can see 2 on this sie and there are 3 on the other side.

what is the differance I thought after they got so big they just called em palyathoas

actually the name palythoa does not have to do with size. Most reefers call small zoanthids zoas and large zoanthids palythoas but it has much more to do than with size.
Zoanthid is the name given to ALL colonial polyps belonging to the sea anemones, which BTW are not ture corals.

Palythoa grandis, Feed them a mixture of silversides, brine shrimp, daphnea, mysis, krill, blood worms and anything else they want to eat.

that guy is a monster, my blue cinnamon palys are big, but that paly would make mine blush! haha, mabye i will start feeding them more.
