Can you help me figure out what happened to my fish. I explained everything on the Clown & Anonme forum. This is what she looked like this morning when we woke up. We thought there was something wrong with our QT so we moved her back into the 75g tank. But we don't think she will make it.

Lillian died today... If anyone has any ideas on what killed her if it was a parasite. Were we giving her wrong med's? My husband thinks that the QT was to small 2 1/2 gallon and that she beat herself up. In that made her sickness worse.
any ideas?

Sorry about the bad news. Its hard to make out what that is fromt he pic. Is it eroded or is it something growing on the fish? What other fish do you have in the tank?

The front white spot is the parasite that we thought she had. She had another one under her fin and after med's it started to heal. Then the second one (the one in the picture was there the next day). The back looks like she was scraped. She was doing this swooping thing against the LR we had. I read today to forum you have on QT so we are starting over and not putting any rocks in there. She got worse in the last 2 days. Was it the QT. All of our levels were fine. AMM 0 nitrite 0 PH 8.0 and Trates were 20. Temp 78

2 green cromis damsels
1 3 stripe damsel
1 yellow tail damsel
1 royal gramma that only comes out when someone is near the rock he lives in
1 Occ Clown.

They have been in tank for about 4 weeks. The mates. The clowns got along fine. Toward the end the Mate to the clown was very protective of her. Her mate seems fine wright now.

Well, to me, at least the way that picture looks, those marks looks like deep scrapes. Was that reddish at all?
The best thing to do for a QT is to have it ready to go and cycled long before you ever really need it.

That's what we are planning. THe one spot near the tail is scrape but not the other one. Do you know of parasites that break through the skin and that are white. Not ich.... I've seen pictures of ich and it was not that. She was really banging herself up when she was seperated from her mate. That's why we put them together later. Then they were fine. They were not red. JUst white.....Pure White. We took a picture of her before we sent her down the white tunnel.... It's not a very good one. Hubby doesn't pay much att. to detail. Like me.LOL

Do we need a skimmer in our QT. We are going to set up our 29g that we are not using for anything.

It looks to me like flesh has been pealed or sliced away. Like severe injuries.
