Beth's food recipie

I was reading through Beth's FAQ in the disease forum, and came across her recipie for food. She reccomends adding fresh minced garlic to the recipie before refreezing. If this is added, does the food need to be garlic sooaked again, or is this initial garlic sufficient? I know the active ingredient in the garlic breaks down quickly, which is why many foodgrade bottled garlics are not adequate?
She also reccomends adding veggies to the mix. With this wide variety of foods in her recipie (various seafood and veggie components) does this consittue a varied diet? or does the food need to still be alternated- I now alternate marine cuisine, emerald entree, squid, and omega 3 brine. IN essence, beths recipie is a combo of all th eobeve (with the excpetion of the brine).
Thanks in advance.

I feed the homemade food that includes raw seafood, garlic, vitamins, and nori. I also feed my tang nori sheets 2-3 times per week. I will soak the frozen food in fresh chopped garlic only if I have a new fish in QT or if a fish is ill. Hope that helps.

If you wish to use garlic as an ich preventative or for its natural antibiotic qualities, then you will need to add freshly minced garlic. However, for just a good food supplement, then you can follow the recipe. Don't overdo it with garlic. Depending on the size of your batch, you should only use on the average one glove. A garlic crusher works good.
