Well 2 weekends ago water changes sucked. I killed some coral and 3 of the 4 fish in my frag tank due to what I'm calling dish soap poisoning. Main tank was fine but I changed water in my frag tank about an hour or two after doing dishes with terrible results and can't believe the one fish lived. I big bag of charcoal and hours later things started to come around.
This weekend before I did anything I did water changes like usual (water mixing for at least a day) and my scrub downs and what not. Everything went smoothly as it used to.
So moral of the story -- DO NOT DO DISHES BEFORE WATER CHANGES
Now I have to figure out what fish I want in my frag tank again. Probably a tang and pair of clowns again
Loved my sailfin but maybe I'll try a kole tang this time for something different.
