Bi-Color Angel DYING !!!

As I type this my Bi-Color Angel is dying. He may already be dead, and will for sure be dead by morning. I will remove him once he is positively dead.
My question is : Do Angels have a specialized diet?
The same 100g tank houses :
Hippo Tang
Fox Face
2 False Percula Clowns
Chromis Damsel
All other fish are fine, as are the inverts. Fish are given Mysis shrimp and Brine shrimp with additional vitamins and nutrients 2x daily. Chaeto, Codium, and other greens are always available.
Water parameters are fine...
Any ideas on why he didn't make it? Any help would be greatly appreciated... I had never had an Angel, and it quickly became one of my favorites.
I would like to get another, but want to be more prepared if they have special needs.

They eat everything you said but they do need a lot of greens. Is he dead or is he still alive, I have mines eat new life spectrum pellets and seaweed and I mix some mysis shrimp and brine shrimp, I hope this help.

Well, he didn't make it...
I WILL buy another Dwarf Angel of some sort. Any suggestions on one that may be easier to keep?
I don't really want a Coral Beauty; maybe a Flame Angel or ???
Thanks for the help.

How long have you had this fish? Did you notice anything unusual about him before he died? How was his color? Were his fins clear of spots or missing pieces? Was he eating well?

Unfortunately Bicolors are notorious for doing poor.
I would stick with something a little more hardy, such as a Flame or Cherub.

unfortunately the bicolor seems to be one of those fish that you think you are doing every thing right and they die anyway, I had two in the past, the second one was eatting like a pig and died.

Do you have plenty of mature LR and are the tang & rabbitfish grazing a lot? They are herbivores and need lots of greens. I wouldn't introduce any angel without of plenty of algae to graze on. Not trying to get "in your face"; but you should do thorough research on fish BEFORE you buy it. A Bi-color angel is a very difficult fish and (IMO) you will lose the tang & rabbitfish if you don't get a lot of greens into their diet ASAP. Many herbivores will do ok short term on the diet you describe. But, will never survive in the long run. I'd suggest you get a good book. Like Bob Fenner's " The Conscience Marine Aquarist' and read it cover to cover. Then, post your next move here and get feedback. I'd hate to see you lose interest in this great hobby (and your fish) just because you don't know what to feed your fish. BTW, I'd search this forum; I don't think Chaeto & Codium are really herbivore foods.Good luck!
