bi-color with ich

HI,
I 'm taking a bi-color angel in for a friend cause he has no quarantine tank.
I'm going to start hypo salinity, but the thing is I have no fake rock or pvc tubing, so i'm using a couple of pieces of LR for shelter so the fish doesn't get super stressed.
there are small feather dusters on the rock, will they die during hypo?
I know it's a minor problem but I just wanted to know.

Likely so. However, I have had some inverts live thru hypo. But, I don't know about the feather duster. I'd be interesting in knowing what happens once the procedure is done.
