big old sand storm

I just started a new tank and the sand storm has not settled down.
I was going to add a filter sock on the end of the drain any other ideas?

how big is your tank? How did you add the sand? sand then water or water then sand?? just sit it out I'd say, typically it could take a while, up to a day or two to get the sand to completely settle...

Agreed. It's normal to get cloudy water for a day or two after adding sand.
